The machine is designed for mass production of small and medium-size workpieces that demand high precision and efficiency within a small footprint. The machine has been ergonomically designed for greater efficiency and productivity.
A variable-speed spindle and a high-torque gearbox offer the flexibility to accommodate a variety of workpieces. The machine is said to precisely grind crystals, ceramics, optical glass, semiconductors, tungsten carbide, metal and other hard and brittle materials with optomal surface finishes, flatness and parallelism with narrow tolerances.
The machine features a wheel diameter of 27.5" and accommodates workpiece diameters ranging to 9.85", workpiece thickness ranging to 9.85", and load pressure ranging to 600 kPA. The grinder has upper and lower disc power of 7.5 hp with a speed of 125 rpm, and inner disc power of 7.5 hp with a speed of 75 rpm.

Chevalier’s new FSG-2048ADIV and FSG-2064ADIV machines join our ADIV Series of surface grinders offering, two additional machine sizes along with several newly designed features including, a traveling column structure to further reduce vibration and achieve higher accuracy; a spindle that can withstand heavy load grinding; and a double-V slide rail for smooth, stable longitudinal movements.
This series features a double-V, guideway design laminated with Turcite-B anti-friction material for smooth and stable longitudinal movement. Equipped with a new oil-film guideway lubrication system designed for low-wear, the series easily and effectively achieves mirror grinding while improving grinding accuracy.

TIMTOS x TMTS 2022, the first alliance between the two major machine tool exhibitors in Taiwan, was held February 21-26 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The event, which featured 950 exhibitors in 5,100 booths, had engaging virtual and on-site elements. Those people who could not attend the six-day show could conveniently view exhibitions online for one month. Exhibitors showcased the innovative R&D strengths of the machine tool industry, including smart manufacturing solutions.
We are very pleased with our interactions with attendees and their interest in our machines during TIMTOS x TMTS 2022. We discussed with prospects, customers and distributors the latest trends and how Chevalier’s exclusive iMCS for data collection provides innovative machining and comprehensive remote monitoring anywhere in the world, avoiding downtime and improving productivity. We exhibited our FSG-2064ADIV, FVG-50, FNL-220LSY and FCL-130RP machines, which meet the needs of customers in the electric vehicle and semiconductor industries. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some customers could not come to Taiwan for this exhibition, but many show attendees were actively seeking the smart machinery manufacturing solutions that Chevalier provides.

The series is perfect for heavy-duty turning, milling, boring, grinding, drilling and thread-cutting applications.
The Y model is designed for key-slot milling of large-sized and/or heavy workpieces or workpieces made of cast-iron, steel. And with the optional live tooling function, the series offers additional flexible machining capabilities to make more complex workpieces with one machine. The cross-rail elevation system uses two large ballscrews for positioning and can be locked in any position with four independent hydraulic break systems; consequently, the spindle RAM is able to more closely approach a workpiece, thus eliminating an overhang problem. The unique patent lock mechanism has eight hydraulic locking cylinders with curvic coupling to assure the turning holder stably fixing on RAM to get high rigidity without vibration or cutting chatter, which reduces the stress transmission on the RAM spindle bearings to substantially prolong spindle life.
It's powerful for example FVL-1600VTC series. The enormous 60HP FANUC digital spindle motor, with a two-speed gearbox, generates up to 13,917NM (10,246 ft.-lbs.) of torque in lower 30rpm. The optional Live Tooling models can easily handle up to M30 tap or 50mm drill with tough material.
