TMTS 2014 will be held from November 5th to 9 th 2014

The TMTS 2014 – Taiwan International Machine Tool Show- will be held from November 5th to 9 th2014 hosted by Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association(TMBA) at the Greater Taichung International Expo Center(GTIEC). TMTS will showcase under an innovative "Exhibition integrated with Manufacturing supply chain" exhibition style which is highly recognized by exhibitors and buyers from all over the world. The exhibition area is anticipated to be 54,000 square meters with 3,700 booths exhibiting all types of high precision machine tools, components, accessories, tools and automation equipment. There is a 55 % increase in overall scale than the last show in 2012.
Taiwan is one of the major producing and consuming markets for global machine tools. There are more than 1600 manufacturers in Taiwan machine tool supply chain, and nearly 90 % of these manufacturers are concentrated in the Greater Taichung area. Taichung is not only a major base in global machine tool manufacturing; but also a major consuming market in machine tools and other mechanical equipment. In 2012 Taiwan was ranked the 9th machine tool consuming market in the world. Inside the 60 kilometer radius of the Taichung machine tool cluster, the best engineering solutions are available for global machine users from industries of molds, hand tools, bicycle, automobile & motorcycle parts, metalworking and all kinds of machinery.
TMTS is held at Taichung which takes the advantage of closing sales market and easy transportation. The last show attracted 65,227 visitors, and this time in 2014 the visitors are expecting to be over 70,000. To provide optimal service for visitors and buyers from all over the world, the organizer will offer a series of events, such as new product release, purchasing conference, factory visit and free city tour. With these services, foreign visitors and buyers are able to attend the show and experience Taiwan’s industrial dynamism at the same time.
The exhibition is planned for the following five pavilions to meet the buyer demand from different fields：(1)Metal Cutting Machine Tools (2)Metal Forming Machine Tools (3)Components / Parts/Tools / Toolholding & Workholding Devices / Accessories / Software / Inspecting, Measuring and Testing Equipment (4)Automation & Robotics/Hydraulic & Pneumatic Components (5)International Associations & Media Area
TMTS2014 will be highlighted under two themes of 「5 Axis Machine Tool Cutting Application」and「Servitization in Manufacturing」. Many exhibitors will showcase the cutting performance and related applications of 5 axis machine tool during the show. Moreover, there will be series presentation to introduce how to implement manufacturing service in machine tool industry.
