The iconic show was way ahead of its previous editions in terms of number of exhibitors, international participation, serious buyers and quality visitors. The mega event had almost 400 booths and drew in a record breaking footfall of 22348visitors, reaffirming the level of vibrancy that was expected at the show. LED EXPO witnessed participation from top brands from 15 countries across the globe.

Show Highlights
Concurrent to the expo, LED Summit-an international conference on LED lighting & products was conducted for top industry players, policy makers, eminent representatives from the government, lighting bureaus and industry associated professionals. Day 1 of the conference covered topics related to Applications of LED for Solar PV System, Electronics Hardware Manufacturing using LED-based systems and Funding Schemes for new & existing LED /Electronic units; Schemes where manufactures can take advantage with presentations from MNRE, TERI, SECI, NMCC, DeitY, NSDA, NSIC, EESL, DIPP and CLASP. Day 2 covered topics related to LED technology, LED Measurement & Standards, Energy Efficiency and LED Design & Application with presentations from Philips Lumileds, Neev Energy, Moser Baer India, Instrument Systems GmbH, BIS, and BEE among others.

The Taiwan Pavilion was yet another highlight of the show. The Pavilion comprised of companies such as LED Link, T&L Plastic Co., Ltd., Rich Sphere, Full Sun, Mean Well, Yun Chung, Easlite, Everlight, Prolight, Edison Opto where visitors got an opportunity to interact with key decision makers from participating top Taiwan companies for a better understanding of the Taiwan LED industry.

The 2013 Taiwan LED Industry Forum, organised by Bureau of Foreign Trade and MOEA and implemented by TAITRA, provided yet another opportunity to discover more about the largest LED manufacturing country in the world and do business with Taiwan’s leading LED firms. The 2-hour session saw presentations from leading Taiwan LED firms: Edison Opto Corporation, ProLight Opto Technology Corporation, Full Sun Optotech Co. Ltd. and Ledlink Optics Inc.

Also on the show floor was China Pavilion with representatives from China-based LED companies such as Euchips Industrial Co., Ltd, Jorle Fine Chemical Co., Ltd., Yongming Electronics Co., Ltd., Aurora Photoelectricity Technology Co., Ltd., Chip Optech Co., Ltd., Jiewei Yida Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Mary Photoelectricity Co., Ltd. and Uniview LED Co., Ltd. showcasing a range of LED-related products that reflected LED market growth in China.
