Artec to showcase full body 3D scanning at CES 2016

Artec will join the biggest names in consumer technologies this January by showcasing its range of hi-res portable 3D scanners and Shapify Booth full body 3D scanner at CES 2016 in Las Vegas.
Taking the spotlight on the stand will be popular body scanner and handheld Space Spider scanner, which was developed for scanning at the International Space Station and debuted on the market in 2015.
Space Spider is the scanning experts’ most robust, ultra-precise handheld scanner, demonstrating high-quality repeatability of scanning results even in changing ambient conditions. Its prototype, Spider, will also be on the stand along with Eva, one of Artec's most recognisable models which features the largest field of view and highest scanning speed among Artec handhelds. The data collected by these scanners can be processed in Artec’s comprehensive software, Artec Studio 10, which features powerful algorithms that automate much of editing and post-processing.
Attendees will also get the chance to immortalise themselves in 3D in the Artec Shapify Booth. Shapify showcases Artec’s ultimate automatic full-body scanning technology taking only 12 seconds to scan a person and 15 minutes to produce a ready-for-print 3D model in full colour.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to get their scans 3D printed by simply choosing a figurine size and shipping address on the show floor. Figurine prices start at $169 for an S-size figurine (6"/15cm). An M-size figurine (7.5"/19cm) costs $219 and an L (9"/23cm) is worth $299. Delivery is $35. 3D prints will be received in the post a few weeks later. Personal 3D models can also be downloaded from the Shapify website for $40.
